Irving-Las Colinas Chamber Women’s Alliance awards scholarships

Associate Superintendent of Academic Services for Irving ISD Melody Paschall talked about current events in Irving ISD and gave an overview of the districts high school programs at the Women’s Alliance luncheon at LaCima Club in Las Colinas on May 15. Also at the luncheon, the group, which is part of the Irving/Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, awarded two $1,500 scholarships to Irving ISD students.
“Last year we decided to help the Irving Schools Foundation as a way we give back to the community with a scholarship,” said Tamara Fulcher, chairwoman of the Women’s Alliance.
The scholarships went to Quynhthy Tran from Irving High School and Patricia Izaguirre from Cardwell Career and Prep Center.
