Residents can impact City’s upcoming budget

Residents have two chances in June to tell the City Council what they would like to see in next year’s budget.

The City is holding a public hearing on June 6 and again on June 20 before the regularly scheduled City Council meetings.

The 2013-2014 fiscal year budget starts Oct. 1, 2013 and ends Sep. 30, 2014. In August at a budget retreat, the City Council will be presented with the proposed 2013-2014 budget and adoption is scheduled for Sep. 19.

Residents will be able to comment on the proposed budget at two August meetings as well. Those dates have not been set.
