TxDOT approves funding for multiple projects in the Dallas district

Dallas — In an ongoing effort to enhance our roadways, the Texas Transportation Commission approved more than $15.5 million of improvements in the Dallas District. They include:
• Concrete repair and overlay on 19 miles of SH 31 through Navarro County stretching from Corsicana through the towns of Powell and Kerens to the Henderson County Line. Big Creek Construction, LTD. was awarded the contract in the amount of $11.6 million.
• Concrete repair on LP 12 from Bonnie View Road to I-45 in Dallas. O. Trevino Construction, LLC was awarded the contract in the amount of $115,000.
• Additional pavement widening to provide three-foot shoulders on FM 986 (Town North Drive) in Terrell to CR 326 near the Hunt County line in Kaufman County. The 6.6-mile project was awarded to contractor D.L. Lennon Incorporated in the amount of $3.9 million.
• Landscaping on I-30 from west of Winslow Ave. to east of Dolphin Road in Dallas. All Around Lawn Care, Inc. was awarded the contract in the amount of $227,000.
Construction start dates will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractors.
