University of Dallas DBA program ranked top 10 nationally

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program offered by the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas is ranked sixth in Top Management Degrees’ list of the nation’s “Top 50 Doctorate in Business Management Programs.” The ranking places the program among other top business schools such as Harvard University, the University of Florida and Washington University of St. Louis.

The AACSB-accredited “Dallas DBA,” a part-time, three-year doctoral program for experienced business leaders, consists of a 60-credit-hour curriculum centered on developing strategies that incorporate organizational agility, customer engagement and emerging technologies, as well as sustainable and ethical business practices. The applied research program provides each student an opportunity to focus on finding solutions to challenges of the contemporary workplace under the close guidance of scholar-practitioners who boast a significant amount of work experience along with their academic backgrounds.

“We’re extremely proud of our practice-based, doctoral research program,” Interim Dean Brett J. L. Landry said.

“It has already provided many of our students with opportunities to present research based on real world issues at academic conferences both nationally and internationally. They’re well on their way to becoming scholar-practitioners themselves.”

“We are very pleased to see our efforts being recognized,” Director of Doctoral Programs J. Lee Whittington said. “This speaks to the quality of our faculty, staff and students.”

The Top Management Degrees ranking is based on five equally-weighted criteria: accreditation, prestige, estimated cost, student satisfaction and business management curriculum. Data was gathered from each program’s website, U.S. News & World Report and The Princeton Review rankings, as well as the National Center for Education Statistics. We are confident that students will find both at the University of Dallas.”
