Irving ISD students served up Regional bids

Ten Irving ISD students are headed to Regionals after an impressive showing at district competition this week. In addition, Irving ISD tennis players snagged three of the five district titles. Regional competition will be held at Baylor University in Waco, April 18-20. The qualifiers are as follows:

Girls doubles – Briseyda Ponce and Daniella Cantu, Irving (district champions); Lizbeth Hernandez and Hannah Garduno

Mixed Doubles – Richard Guzman and Stephanie Aguilar, MacArthur (district champions); Rafael Martinez and Madison Gomez

Girls Singles – Olive Alexander, Nimitz (district champion); Amy Amerson, MacArthur.
