
In November, the Nimitz Navy JROTC competed with over 81 schools at the Pride of North Texas Drill Meet at Lewisville High School. They placed among the top 16 teams, qualifying them for the Navy JROTC drill team state competition at Texas A&M University in February.
At the Lewisville regional drill, the cadets won six of the 10 categories to solidify their position in the top 16 teams in Texas for the seventh year in a row. They won first place in Overall Service, Overall Navy JROTCs, Armed Regulation Drill for boys and girls, Unarmed Regulation Drill for girls and Physical Training events.
They will be competing in one more meet in the upcoming weeks in Tomball, Texas.
