Irving Police and Fire responded to an auto accident in a residential neighborhood on Wednesday, May 27.
At approximately 2:30 PM, a truck heading southbound from Finley Street allegedly stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake and hit a light pole and a DART bus sign before running through a corner lot crossing Dewitt Street and striking another vehicle.
One passenger in the truck was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was conscious and reportedly cooperating with police.
