The Tigers win their first game since 2017 in dramatic fashion. The win comes by the narrowest margin possible, 35-34, over Molina at home. Junior Rashad Daniel (149) and Senior Jaycob Vine (102) both topped 100 yards rushing, scoring 2 and 1 touchdowns respectively. Senior tight end Kelvin Escamilla added a 48 yard touchdown reception.

South Grand Prairie

The Warriors evened their record in the good way, getting to 1-1 after a 28-10 victory over Mesquite. Junior Ahmahn Newberry ran for a touchdown and threw for another. Two of senior Ira Stuckey’s three receptions found him in the endzone.

Coppell High School

The Cowboys fell to 1-1 after a 55-41 loss to Prestonwood Christian. Junior running back Blake Robbins ran for 143 yards and 4 touchdowns. Junior QB Jack Fishpaw for 213 yards, 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions.

Grand Prairie

The Gophers loss to McKinney Boyd evened their record at 1-1. Senior Alex Torres tallied 10 tackles, 2 for a loss, and a sack in the 28-21 loss. Senior Drew Damper added 69 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground.

The Hawks fell to 1-1 after a 25-21 loss to St. Mark’s. Senior quarterback Dan O’Toole completed 20-28 passes for 198 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. He also ran the ball 17 times for 89 yards.

The Cardinals fell to 1-1 after a 47-28 loss to Lakeview Centennial. Sophomore running back Darelle Smith ran for 233 yards and two scores, averaging over 11 yards per carry. He also added 77 yards and a third touchdown through the air.

The Vikings fell to 0-2 on the year after a 29-28 loss to Wylie East. Both losses this year have come by a single point. Senior J’Den Hall ran for 124 yards and a score on just 8 carries (15.5 yard average. Senior Pedro Maldonado completed 8-13 passes for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Wolves open their season at 0-1 after a 33-13 loss to Hillcrest. Sophomore QB Andrew Erlenbusch threw for 180 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a pick. Senior Khari DeShay caught 4 balls for 107 yards and a score.
