South Grand Prairie

The Warriors improved to 2-1 with a 27-16 win over Waco Midway. Senior QB Michael Stallworth passed for 152 yards and an interception, while running for 61 yards and 3 touchdowns. Junior running back Ahmahn Newberry ran for 78 yards and a score.

Coppell High School

The Cowboys fell to 1-2 after a 28-13 loss to Highland Park. Junior QB Jack Fishpaw put up 209 total yards and two touchdowns. Senior Jack Mcadams added a sack and 5 tackles, including 1 for a loss.

Grand Prairie

The Gophers 21-14 loss to Mesquite dropped their record to 2-1. Senior Alex Torres and juniors Jacquese Hurst and Albert Vazquez combined for 30 tackles, 3 sacks, and had 2 tackles for loss apiece.

The Vikings got their first win of the season with a 51-21 victory over Carrollton Creekview. They’re now 1-2 on the year, with both of their losses coming by a single point. Senior J’Den Hall ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries (13.6 yard average). Senior Pedro Maldonado completed 5-6 passes, and ran for 2 touchdowns and 94 yards. Senior Eric Willians added 97 yards and another score.
