Dallas County—A proposal by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to improve 10 miles of Loop 12 between Spur 408 to State Highway 183 (SH 183) in Dallas and Irving will be discussed at two public meetings in early May. A virtual option will also be available for those not able to attend.
The first public meeting will be Tuesday, May 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Jack D. Huffman Community Building, 801 W. Irving Blvd. in Irving.
The virtual option will launch Tuesday, May 3 at 5:30 p.m. at www.keepitmovingdallas.com/loop12 and be available through Friday, May 20.
The second public meeting will be Thursday, May 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church, 5525 W. Illinois Ave. in Dallas.
Participants will be able to view the proposals for this corridor, which include widening Loop 12, reconstructing frontage roads and also the construction of two reversible managed lanes. Sidewalks and other safety improvements for pedestrians and bicyclists are included in the proposals. Comments are encouraged, and both the in-person attendees and virtual guests will have several options for submitting feedback:
