Ann “Chana” Milam, 89, passed away on April 22, 2024, at Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL. Born on March 7, 1935, in Brownsville, TX, to Lee Lon Adams and Evelyn Mercile Kennedy, Ann was a vibrant spirit whose life was as diverse as it was full. She leaves behind her children, Lee Hardin, Loucille (John) Dolberry-Edge, Monica Coolidge, and chosen son Trevor Lewin.

A high school basketball player, National Honor Society member, and an avid participant in dance line, barrel racing, and Girl Scouts, Ann was a woman of many talents. As a single mother, she taught her children the value of self-sufficiency, raising chickens, growing vegetables, and sewing clothes. Her love for nature was evident in her hobbies which included camping, fishing, and hiking. Known as “Annie” for her sharpshooting skills, she also had a soft spot for hummingbirds, the color purple, and pecan treats.

Ann and her late husband M.D. Milam shared a passion for missionary work, delivering aid to Central America, Mexico, and Native American reservations. Embracing her Jewish heritage later in life, she lived her faith with zeal. Ann will be laid to rest beside her husband at Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the ICU team at Riverview, especially Jason, and rejoices in her reunion with loved ones in Heaven.
