Edwin Stephen Hillier passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025. 
Steve was born on January 1, 1934, to Edwin Stephen Hillier Sr and Hazel Lee Crouch Hillier in Fort Worth, Texas. 
Steve graduated high school at the age of 16 ½ and following his father’s footsteps he worked as an apprentice at the T&P Railroad. He then enrolled in Abilene Christian University in 1954 pursuing his degree in Bible and Journalism. 
Steve’s varied work history included Associate Editor of The Monthly Christian Chronicle, Preaching in Texas, Idaho and Iowa and teaching at Magic Valley Christian College in Idaho. 
In 1965 Steve and his family moved to Irving, Texas where he worked for the Irving Daily News and started his company Totco “The Other Telephone Company” installing the 1st private phone system in Irving for Suburban Insurance. He obtained his real estate brokerage license in 1970 which started a 50+ year real estate career. 
Politics and City Government were in Steve’s blood. He was an avid member of the Republican Club where he served numerous years as an election judge, involved in all levels of campaigns from local government to state and national campaigns. Serving on the Irving Parks Board, Building and Standard Board, Building Appeals Board, Board to the Arts Council and the Irving Hospital Advisory Board, he loved his town and always put 100% into supporting Irving. 
With all of his business and volunteer works, he never put anything before his Faith in God, living a Christian life and teaching his children these same values. Steve was involved in the mission programs at South MacArthur Church of Christ and The Hills Church for many years. 
Steve was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Lee Crouch Hillier, father Edwin Stephen Hillier Sr and sister Betty Sue Allen. 
Survived by daughters Stephanie Hillier and Lisha Hillier Butler and husband Curtis, son Reagan Stephen Hillier and wife Tina, Jennie Hillier Roden and husband Mark. Grandchildren Andrena Smith (Corbin Medlin) Dustin English (Tiffany) Shelby Hymer (Jeremy), Gabriella Ortiz (Matthew), Ricky Diaz (Melissa) Hunter Hillier (Emily), Claire Hillier and 12 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
