Ware, Robert “Bob” Lyndon (1929-2025)

Bob Ware, 96, a resident of Irving since 1964, died peacefully surrounded by his wife and family on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Bob was born to Henry Grady Ware and Girdie Hutchison Ware on January 21, 1929, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. After graduating from Stillwater High School, he attended Oklahoma A&M, earning a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration, and he later earned an MBA from the University of Dallas. Bob married Carol Guernsey in 1963, and they raised a family of three children in Irving where they were long-time members of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. He is survived by his wife Carol Guernsey Ware, son Alan Ware and daughter-in-law Karen, son Bryan Ware and daughter-in-law Holly, daughter Carla Ware Hitz, children from his first marriage Bruce Naughton, Marcia Lutostanski and Lisa Vandenberg, grandchildren Brandon Ware, Emma Ware, Kai Hitz, William Franklin and Lillian Franklin. Services in celebration of Bob’s life will be held March 1, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Irving, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer Building Fund, 2700 Warren Circle, Irving, TX 75062.
