The Irving Marathon Running Series benefits the Irving Schools Foundation. Each event brings people from all over the world together for a great cause by providing meals for children, school supplies, scholarships, and more.

Coppell-Fly Fishing Fundamentals
March 29 from⋅9 a.m. - noon
The Biodiversity Education Center, 367 Freeport Pkwy
Learn how to cast, tie basic fishing knots and flies, and discuss their uses. Participants will review equipment, learn about aquatic ecosystems, safety, fishing, ethics, and regulations. All equipment and materials will be provided. Class is limited to 25 people–first come, first served.

DeSoto's 76th Birthday Party

Celebrate the many cultures of Irving with live music, dance and food. Take in a variety of eclectic live performances, enjoy a tasty treat from an array of food vendors, grab a beautiful henna tattoo or salsa around the Heritage Park stage.

Grand Prairie Mayor’s Community 5K – Walk, Run, Stroll

Registration: 8 a.m., 5K begins at 10 a.m.
Join Mayor Ron Jensen as he kicks off the 2025 Cyclin' with the Mayor season. The Community 5K is a free event in downtown Grand Prairie. No registration required. T-shirts will be available while supplies last.
