From the City of Coppell: City of Coppell’s Town Center Building Under Construction
April 14, 2025
COPPELL, TX – Some changes are underway at the City of Coppell’s Town Center building, 255
Parkway Boulevard! While disruptions to the public will be minimal, visitors can expect to see some
construction equipment and hear a bit of noise during the renovations.
Modifications are being made to the building to better serve the City’s residents and provide
enhanced security for employees. Coppell City Council approved a bid in early October 2024,
appointing Custard Construction Services to complete the remodel for $268,984.31, which will come
out of the City’s sales tax-supported Infrastructure Maintenance Fund (IMF).
The majority of the renovations will be to Town Center’s first floor, including both entry doors, the
front reception desk, the Utility Billing division, and the Strategic Financial Engagement (SFE)
department. While Utility Billing’s space is being reconfigured, a temporary area will be set up in the
southeast corner of the first floor, near the back door, to allow employees to continue serving
customers.
On the opposite side of the first floor, a small office will be created to allow City Council members to
meet with constituents, and the open space above the glass wall of the Council Chambers will be
enclosed to help reduce outside noise during public meetings.
An upstairs lobby will also be constructed on the second floor of Town Center.
The renovation was designed to be completed in phases to minimize disruption and is expected to be
finished in late summer 2025.
