Marvin H. Randle

June 11, 2025

Marvin H. Randle, 88, of Irving, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 7, 2025. He was born in Dallas, Texas, in 1936, to Ernest and
Adina Randle. As a young boy, Marvin spent his summers on his grandfather’s farm, helping with plowing, planting, and harvesting. He later developed a skill
for digging wells through his father’s business, and while in high school, he learned how to make counter tops through the public schools’ work program. His
passion for providing for his family drove him to start up his own business. Irving Counter Top (ICT) company quickly grew into a thriving business, expanding its
facilities several times over the years, and it eventually became the largest supplier of laminate counter tops and cultured marble vanity tops in the Southwest.

As his sons grew older, they became an integral part of the business, a constant that has remained in place for more than 50 years. Marvin truly loved every aspect of
the company. It provided good paying jobs and careers to hundreds of Irving families, and the art of building counter tops out of wood, stone, and synthetic
materials was often learned at an early age by students across the IISD. He maintained a strong civic connection to the schools and its work programs for this
very reason.

Marvin was a natural at supporting the entire community, and he eventually became interested in helping lead the city in a more relevant manner. He
successfully ran for, and was elected to the City Council in 1971, where he served for the next 6 years. His desire to serve grew stronger, and he was elected as Mayor
from 1977 to 1981. He was a past member of several city boards and commissions, and he remained steadfastly involved in the Irving Heritage Society.

Marvin grew up attending Oak View Baptist Church from an early age, and was still attending the weekly Sunday services as recently as last week. He loved and
supported the Oak View family to his very core, and was actively engaged in the congregational mission of expanding God’s Kingdom wherever he went. He was
instrumental in helping the church grow its campus when the new sanctuary was built in 2000. He was very proud that Oak View is celebrating its 75th anniversary
this year.

His strong work ethic and civic pride served as a model to his three sons and one daughter, who have all carried on those same values. Marvin was blessed with a
large generational family – 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren – and special times where everyone gathered for holidays, swimming parties, or Dallas
Cowboy games were indeed a glorious sight to behold. They were truly his most favorite thing.

Another favorite thing was being by the side of his loving wife, Bobbie, holding their much-loved and much-spoiled dogs, drinking iced tea and soaking up the
Texas sun by the pool. He was very proud of the results of his green thumb in his backyard garden, and he could often be seen hand-watering his beautiful flowers in
his front yard.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers Bill Randle (Linnie) and Charlie Randle.

Left behind to cherish his memory and tell his stories are his wife Bobbie Randle; four children Randy Randle (Lynda), Dewayne Randle (Connie), Marty French
(Doug) and John Randle (Tammie); grandchildren Collin Randle (Samantha), Garrett Randle (Ellie), Lauren Brinker (Josh), Ryan Randle (Brooke), Katie Tuttle
(Derek), Kyle French (Abby), Colton Randle (Cortni), Chloe Strength (Chandler); great grandchildren Loralie, Cerenity, Raelee, Skylar Randle, Ewa Brinker, Atlas
Jack Randle, Robbie and Reese Tuttle, Emma French, Rylee and River Randle, Peyton and Porter Strength; and Marvin’s three siblings Clifford Randle, Dorothy
Creed (Chuck) and Don Randle (Doni); and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 13, at 1:00 p.m. at Oak View Baptist Church, 1004 S. Story Road in Irving, Texas. Interment will follow at Oak
