Community Information Office wins awards

June 27, 2025

Coppell—The City of Coppell’s creative communication strategies and graphic design efforts were recognized this month at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) annual conference in Fort Worth. With nearly 700 entries submitted by jurisdictions across Texas, Coppell won the Award of Excellence for its 2025 State of the City publication and the Award of Honor for its Bear Necessities election/voting campaign and teddy bear giveaway.

“It’s an honor to be recognized,” said Hannah Cook, Coppell’s chief communications strategist. “These awards showcase the hard work and dedication of the individuals on the Community Information team, as well as our commitment to keeping the community engaged and informed.”

TAMIO’s award program recognizes outstanding communication by Texas communities in a variety of categories, including website, social media, video production, and publications. Judging is conducted by non-TAMIO members with expertise in communications and municipal government.
