Cognizant Major League Cricket and Texas Super Kings Unite To Donate $20,000 to Support Texas Flood Relief

July 11, 2025

Grand Prairie — In response to the recent devastating floods across Central Texas, Cognizant Major League Cricket (MLC) and the Texas Super Kings are joining together to support relief efforts in the region. Together, the organizations are contributing $20,000, $10,000 each, through the Communities Foundation of Texas to the TEGNA Texas Flood Relief Fund in partnership with WFAA in Dallas-Fort Worth, its parent company, TEGNA, and ten local news brands across the state, to aid in recovery and rebuilding for the affected communities.

“We believe in the power of community, and we’re committed to standing with Texas to support those in need,” said Johnny Grave, CEO of Major League Cricket. “Our hope is that this contribution provides meaningful support during a time when we are reminded of how interconnected we all are.”

The funds will be directed towards the TEGNA Texas Flood Relief Fund, hosted on the North Texas Giving Day platform, which supports organizations providing immediate aid and long-term recovery services to those in the affected region. Those wanting to contribute may do so at  NorthTexasGivingDay.org.

“We encourage everyone who is able to show their support through the Communities Foundation of Texas organized funds,” said Anurag Jain, Dallas-based co-owner of Major League Cricket and of Texas Super Kings. “May comfort be found in unity, peace amid uncertainty, and resilience in the days to come.”

This effort reflects the shared commitment of Major League Cricket and the Texas Super Kings to uplift the Texas community, the heart of American cricket, especially during times of hardship.
