Cedar Hill cruises Past Red Oak at Homecoming Game

Cedar Hill—The Cedar Hill High School Football Team erupted for 28 points in the second quarter of a 48-16 Homecoming win over Red Oak on Friday night at Longhorn Stadium.

Senior quarterback Omowale Muhammid completed 13 of 15 passes for career-highs in yards (264) and touchdowns (4). He now has seven touchdowns on the season for the Longhorns (2-1).

For the second time in three games, 10 Longhorns caught passes. Four Longhorn receivers caught varsity touchdowns for the first time, led by Trenton Jones’ 79 yard touchdown catch. Jones, who had two catches for 84 yards, also returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a 90-yard touchdown.

Braylon Caston (2-71 yards), Jaxon Caldwell (2-35 yards) and Dillen Johnson (1-22 yards) also caught touchdown passes.

Juelz Carter scored the game’s first touchdown in the first quarter. Carter had two carries for 44 yards and now has three touchdowns on the season.

Jalen Brewster finished with two sacks and a forced fumble. The Longhorns won the turnover battle, 5 to 2.

Cedar Hill outgained the Hawks (1-2), 392-220, including 308-150 through the air.

The Longhorns’ 48 points were their most points since they scored 59 in a 2023 second playoff victory over North Forney.

Cedar Hill will open District 6A-11 competition on Friday at Dallas Skyline (0-2). The Raiders lost to Crowley, 33-32 on Friday.
