Cedar Hill—Defense and special teams carried the game for the Cedar Hill High School Football Team, until Jaylen Williams’ career-best 94-yard touchdown run.

The Longhorns (4-1, 2-0) scored 16 points off turnovers – a Jalen Brewster fumble return, a Caleb Jackson interception return and a safety – in a 26-10 victory over Lancaster on Friday night at Longhorn Stadium. Cedar Hill is now tied atop the District 6A-11 Standings with DeSoto (4-1, 2-0).

Kian Adloo’s career-best 44-yard field goal in the fourth quarter helped the Longhorns extend their lead. Cedar Hill forced six turnovers – four interceptions and two fumbles in the victory over the Tigers (2-3, 1-1), a team that edged ahead of them for a playoff spot last season.

Cedar Hill outgained the Tigers, 295-170, including 242-43 on the ground. The Longhorns will have a bye week before visiting Mesquite (1-4, 0-2) on Oct. 10.
