Road closes for DART construction

Coppell—Lane closures on Fairway Drive at the S Belt Line Road intersection will be in place to allow DART crews to perform work on the railroad tracks in preparation for the Silver Line. Various lane closures are expected to be in place through mid-November.

Phase 1: Beginning Monday, Sept. 25, the northbound lane of Fairway Drive will be closed to traffic. The southbound lane will remain open. This closure will be in place throughout Phase 1 of the project, which is expected to be complete by mid-October.

Phase 2: Upon completion of Phase 1, crews will open the completed northbound lane and close the southbound lane of Fairway Drive. This closure will be in place throughout Phase 2 of the project, which is expected to be complete by early November.

Phase 3: Finally, crews will fully close Fairway Drive at the S Belt Line Road intersection for Phase 3 of the project. Both north- and southbound traffic will be detoured around the construction zone. Phase 3 construction is expected to be completed, and the roadway fully opened, in mid-November.

Residents and businesses in this area should expect to hear construction activity during this time, and increased traffic is expected at this intersection through mid-November. Please avoid the area and utilize an alternate route.
