Earth’s dark umbral shadow claims the lunar surface during the deep partial lunar eclipse on the night of Aug. 27–28, 2026. As the Moon slid into alignment passing clouds drifted overhead, wrapping the celestial phenomenon in a soft, atmospheric glow.
