by SOURCE University of Dallas

Irving—The University of Dallas has established a scholarship for incoming homeschool students.

The Homeschool Scholarship is a $5,000 annual scholarship awarded to one exemplary high school student applying to the University of Dallas. Students of both accredited and unaccredited homeschool programs are eligible. The selected student may renew the scholarship for up to eight semesters, or four years of study.

The selected student will exhibit strong commitments to faith, service and achievement. Priority consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need. To be considered for the Homeschool Scholarship, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a completed scholarship application, and a completed application for undergraduate admission to UD before March 1.

The federal government anticipates that the FAFSA will be made available by Dec. 31, two months later than normal, due to recent legislative changes to the FAFSA.
