Irving—Keep Irving Beautiful (KIB) welcomed eight Best Buy employee volunteers to the KIB office, 3000 Rock Island Road, for a service project on Feb. 22. The group participated in KIB’s “No-Sew Blanket Project” by making four blankets that will be donated to a local organization. The project was completed in 16 hours of volunteer service.

“KIB has worked with Best Buy for many years, so it was a pleasure to host them here at our office,” Kelly Horn, KIB board member, said. “The employee volunteers are always great to work with, and they serve as a great example for other companies to follow. We appreciate the time they gave today in this worthwhile project.”

KIB started the blanket project in 2016, and since that time, volunteers have made hundreds of blankets that have been donated to a variety of groups, including food pantries, women’s shelters, and homeless outreach programs.
