Last day of ISD schools is today May 30

Irving ISD Last Day of School Update - Thursday, May 30

As was communicated to our families yesterday evening, we have continued to monitor

the status of the schools remaining without power. Power has been restored to all Irving

ISD campuses with the exception of two. Oncor has been unable to restore power to the

following campuses:

- Good Elementary School

- Austin Middle School

Unfortunately, these campuses will remain closed for the last day of school (today,

Thursday, May 30) out of concern for the safety and comfort of our students and staff.

All other Irving ISD campuses and facilities will be open. Today is a scheduled early

release day, therefore campuses that are open will dismiss as follows:

● Full-day PreK, Elementary Schools and Singley Academy will dismiss at 12:15 PM

(after-school care for tuition-based PreK will be available until 4:30 PM)

● Middle Schools will dismiss at 12:45 PM

● Cardwell Career Preparatory Center will dismiss at 1 PM and

● Irving, MacArthur and Nimitz High Schools will dismiss at 1:15 PM

We appreciate our students, staff and families for their patience and flexibility as we

navigate through the end of the school year.

We look forward to welcoming all returning students back in the fall. Have a great
