Accident claims driver’s life

Grand Prairie—The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred on June 1 at approximately 6:45 p.m.

A Scion passenger car was traveling east in the 4400 block of E. Jefferson when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a cement bridge cap.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other occupants were transported to a local hospital in serious condition.

The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once next of kin have been notified.

The collision remains under investigation.
