Irving—The Irving Police Department’s North Police Station, located at 5900 Riverside Drive, sustained damage as severe weather rolled through the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex on Saturday, June 1. According to a department social media post, no residents were injured, dispatch was unaffected, and officers were back on the streets that same afternoon.

The station appears to have roof damage. Irving, like many parts of DFW, was under both a severe thunderstorm warning and a flash flood warning for much of June 1.

Storm Update:

This afternoon’s round of storms has done some damage to our North Police Station.

Thankfully, no one was injured, and our officers are back on the streets, ready to assist the community.

We do ask that the public avoid the area as our Emergency Management Team gets to work assessing the damage.

Dispatch is not affected by the storms, so we will answer the call if you need us.

According to Chelsey Jones, a media affairs coordinator for the Irving Police Department, the police are declining all interviews from the media regarding the storm damage.
