Mosquito Spraying Scheduled in Response to Positive West Nile Virus Samples in Coppell
COPPELL, TX – The City of Coppell received notification that confirmed the presence of West Nile
Virus (WNV) in mosquito traps located in the 400 block of N. MacArthur Boulevard and 440 block of
Cooper Lane. Dallas County Health and Human Services will conduct targeted spraying on Routes 2
and 6 between 9 pm and 5 am tonight, Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, weather permitting.
Spraying will occur in Route 2 and Route 6.
Route 2 is enclosed by Lake Vista Drive to the north, Denton Creek to the east, E Sandy Lake Road to
the south, and Moore Road/Parkway Boulevard/Philips Drive/MacArthur Boulevard to the west.
Route 6 is enclosed by Halifax Drive/Fieldcrest Loop the north, S Heartz Road/Meadow Creek/E
Bethel Road to the east, Southwestern Boulevard to the south, and Freeport Parkway to the west.
If spraying is not possible on these days due to rain, crews will spray on the next available evenings.
