Mosquito Spraying Scheduled in Response to Positive West Nile Virus Samples in Coppell 9 pm – 5 am on August 19 and 20, 2024

COPPELL, TX – The City of Coppell received notification that confirmed the presence of West Nile Virus (WNV) in mosquito traps located in the 400 block of N. MacArthur Boulevard. Dallas County Health and Human Services will conduct targeted spraying on Route 2 between 9 pm and 5 am tonight, Monday, August 19, and Tuesday, August 20, weather permitting.

Spraying will occur in the area shown on the map as Route 2.

Route 2 is enclosed by Lake Vista Drive to the north, Denton Creek to the east, E Sandy Lake Road to the south, and Moore Road/Parkway Boulevard/Philips Drive/MacArthur Boulevard to the west.

If spraying is not possible on these days due to rain, crews will spray on the next available evenings.
