City leaders break ground on pool

City leaders recently broke ground on a new state-of-the-art swimming pool at Lee Park. Scheduled to open in summer 2025, the $5.7 million facility will include a slide, beach-style entry, a kids' play area, lap lanes, and shade.

The project is part of the Let’s Play Irving: Elevating Aquatics and Recreation initiative, which includes an enclosed aquatic center at Senter Park Recreation Center and a multi-generational recreation and aquatic center at Mustang Park.
