Tjuana Marie Zacharias, of Millsap, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2024, at her home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Port Lavaca Cemetery in Port Lavaca, TX. She will be laid to rest next to the love of her life, Rudy Zacharias.
Tjuana was born August 9, 1948, in Gainesville, Texas, to Tonie and Mary Moore. She had 5 incredible brothers whom she loved dearly. She married Mr. Rudolph Henry Zacharias Jr. (Rudy/Zach) in 1969. They lived in Irving, Texas for 33 years then moved to Millsap, Texas where she resided for the remainder of her life. Over 45+ years, Rudy and Tjuana successfully owned and operated 3 businesses, Zach’s Tire Company, RJ Ranch and RJ Investments. They were actively involved at the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Wells, TX. Tjuana faithfully supported the church by maintaining the books/finances, running church-wide events, and establishing a library for church members to enjoy. She loved her church family greatly and always spoke highly of everyone. She was dedicated to ensuring everyone felt cared for and remembered.
Tjuana was a strong and courageous woman who had overcome many challenges in her life. Though raised in poverty, she didn’t let life hold her back. Nothing was ever going to stop her from doing what she wanted to do. She was tough; yet, tender and gracious. She knew how to conquer adversity and embrace uncertainty. She was the epitome of strength partnered with compassion and empathy.
Tjuana is survived by her son, Rudolph Henry Zacharias III (Tray) of Portland, Oregon; son, Rudolph Kenneth and wife, Julie Archer Zacharias of Midlothian, TX; Grandson, Mason Zacharias of Midlothian, TX. As well as all of her dear friends and devoted companions.
